What is
Fundação Oriente?
Fundação Oriente is a 32 years old cultural foundation. It aims to carry out and support cultural, scientific, educational, artistic, and social initiatives, especially in Macau and Portugal.
Design process
FO plays a key role in promoting Oriental studies in Portugal, and international studies about the Portuguese presence in Asia.
For that matter, it develops a program of research, doctoral studies, and a Portuguese and Eastern language course.
Social media reveals rather positive reviews, highlighting its free entrance and a quality brunch. On a negative note, visitors said there was not enough light.
(This project was a team effort made by three very skilled individuals training to be UX/UI designers)
User Journey
This map represents the journey that a user performed to find documentation on Asian culture. In the end, it had more negative experiences than positive ones due to the lack of organization and hierarchy of the website information.
Wireframing
We have created several sets of wireframes to respond to user's needs.
Besides, it gave us a better understanding of the schematic layout of the Homepage, which was where users found more difficulties.

Our final proposal reflects on a brand new interface, both on desktop and mobile.

is a popular color in Chinese culture, symbolizing luck, joy, and happiness.
The color scheme was inspired on the current palette of the website.
